Radar Level Sensors
17 April 2006The IN4MA has recently be used in conjunction with a radar level sensor to measure the level of recycled oil in a storage tank. The sensor is a 2 wire 4-20mA unit and is easily programmed for tank shape using the windows based software. With this software you can also configure the tank profile, blanking out things like ladders, heating coils and agitators.
The telemetry device uses the GSM mobile phone network to communicate by GPRS the tank level readings to a server. The client is able to log on to the internet and look at the level readings from hundreds of miles away, creating reports, drawing graphs and exporting for use in a spreadsheet.
